There is no Constant

Have you noticed silence seems to slow time?
Time is a constant you might reply, but
it is measurably quicker on mountain peaks,
gravity slows time’s flow when on the beach.

There is no constant, existence depends on change
everything you touch is a milling mass of atoms.
Unchangeability is a human construction —
we always simplify what we do not construe.

All  reassuring concepts of constancy  gone
dissolved by minutiae we cannot easily see.
Our Society’s future is currently carried
by those the powerful wouldn’t acknowledge.

Bottom briefly to top of historic hierarchy,
will we use  this time to think constructively
evaluate what we are and now should be?
Existence needs change not rigid constancy.
