I am indebted to Melissa Wiese for the image I have used with my poem, her photograph of light on water and water over sand has its own eloquence. Click on the image to enlarge it.
Things we cannot touch enrich our lives,
Snipe drumming in the Spring
the smell of Philadelphus after rain
light play on moving water
distant fox bark on a still night
a wisp of woodsmoke after snowfall
and laughter in a lover’s eyes.
