The Blackberry Pudding experience

How much you have to learn, but if you are fortunate
the journey of discovery will continue to entice.

You mime in silence the sculpture of my moving lips
practising the shaping for a private rehearsal.

Already the language of eyebrows, eyes, smiles and frowns
are mastered, although sometimes in frustrated rage.

Do not take all at face value, be slow to discard
your own consideration for the general norm.

Avoid the lure of complexity, ‘durdle-durdle’ expresses
the urgency of pleasure in compressed sophistication.

It takes long to know enough to make sound judgement
but learn that lesson quickly and you can stretch time.
